Hello, Everyone! My name is Biscuit. I am a 2-year old, 4 to 5-pound male Chihuahua/Terrier mix. I came from a home with way too many dogs! I may have had to compete for food and can stand to gain a little weight. I was covered with fleas, which explains some of my hair loss. I am also scared of people, except for my foster Mom, and will either shut down or bark like crazy when someone comes near me when I am near her. I really love being carried in a sling, but have been doing well on a leash. Housetraining is going well. I marked a bit when I first got to my foster home but after I adjusted to being here I have been doing well as long as I'm taken outside every few hours.
I will do best with someone home part of the day as I will climb out of a gated area and still need continued housetraining reinforcement. I can be crated for short amounts of time. I am still unsure about life and prefer to eat while I am near my foster Mom. I follow her wherever she goes and like to sleep close by. My foster Mom says I am adjusting well - I have begun playing with toys and have enjoyed chews to keep me busy. I need an adult home since it takes me awhile to adjust to new folks. I will do well with other small dogs after a proper introduction but still tend to want to guard a lap if I am cuddling with you - I still need to work on my manners!
I am up to date on my shots, flea and heartworm preventative. I have been neutered and I am microchipped and ready to find a wonderful home! My adoption fee is $175 and if a tiny dog with a big personality is what you are looking for - please submit an application!
