- No young children under the age of 12 due to her petite size
- No cats! For the cat’s sake!
You can call me Emma, my friends do. I’m a 10-year-old, 5-pound Chihuahua girl. My coat is the color of golden wheat. I have sweet floppy ears, an adorable underbite and the cutest little turned up nose. I found myself in rescue due to no fault of my own, Emma was my name and my foster mom kept it the same. I’m sweet and friendly with people. I am supposed to be the boss and they need to know! I’m a confident and sometimes bossy girl with the other critters here in my foster home, so if you already have a bossy dog at home we may have some disagreements. I don’t mind at all if it’s just you and me. I’m not a good dog for your home if you have cats. I want to chase and terrorize them and the cats in my foster home are dog savvy! Imagine if they weren’t!! Poor cats!
I sleep quietly in my crate at night, walk well on a leash and I’ve only had a couple of accidents in my foster home, but I’m a Chihuahua ya know! We don’t like to potty outside when it’s raining, snowing and cold but I’ll make a brave venture out when my foster mom goes out with me. And my foster mom always goes out with me while I do my business to make sure that no predatory birds mistake me for a little rabbit!
Because I’m so petite I cannot go to a home with kids under the age of 12. With one misstep I could get hurt very easily.
So if you would like a little companion, please give my friends at SBRET a holler! I’m up-to-date with my vaccinations, been spayed, microchipped and on heartworm prevention. Because I’m a senior, my adoption fee is $100.
