Meet Gilda, a female Pekingese approximately 4 years old and 12 pounds. Gilda lived her life in a house with several other dogs, likely not receiving the proper attention and socialization, before she was surrendered by her owner. When she came in to rescue she was terrified of everything and everyone around but in a short time she has really flourished, gained confidence and is learning to enjoy life.

She is quickly getting over her fear of walking on a leash and learning that nothing scary outside will get her. She is also making phenomenal progress on housetraining. She gets along well with other dogs - she enjoys playing and cuddling with them. She is a quiet girl - she only barks when trying to get another dog to play with her. Gilda is such a lover, she craves attention, a warm lap to cuddle in and thrives with praise. Gilda will do best in quiet, laid back adult home or one with children over 12 years old. Gilda has been spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention. If you would like to help this sweet girl continue learning how wonderful life can be, please contact SBRET. Gilda's adoption fee is $175.
