Hello, my name is Ivy. I am a darling 8-year old, 5-1/2 pound female Chihuahua. I am one of the "Chihuahua 8"--which means I was rescued along with 7 of my friends from a local shelter after we were taken by animal control as we were all suffering from neglect. I have the biggest, softest brown eyes, and don't you love my expressive little tan eyebrows?
I am a delicate, shy, and friendly little girl. My dental and double knee surgery for luxating patellas went very well. So you see, I have been through a lot to get me ready for my forever home! I need a patient family with lower activity as I startle easily so please no children under 12. I am eager to please and my potty habits are preferably on a pee pad because the outside world is still a bit scary for me. I would also need to have some washable rugs around so I can walk comfortably as I am still getting used to walking with my "new" knees - wood floors make me uncomfortable. I love to "smile" when spoken to and love to cuddle on the couch with my person. I would like to have a someone around part of the day and another small dog for a companion as I get a bit worried when left all alone. I would not be a good fit for an apartment as I may vocalize a bit when you leave.
If I sound like a friend you would like to meet, please contact SBRET and ask about Ivy. I am spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all my shots, heartworm and flea preventatives. My adoption fee is $175.
