Jake is a 12 pound, 6 year old male Chihuahua mix who came to SBRET after his elderly mom passed away. Don't you
love his one little popped up listening ear? Jake is a couple pounds overweight but is otherwise very healthy.
He previously lived with several other dogs and currently has two small breed foster sisters.
Jake does fine with other small dogs but is much more interested in people. Since Jake spent his first six years
at home with his mom, he has a bit of separation anxiety. When Jake is alone he cries and barks, so he would
probably not do well in an apartment. He is doing well with crate training during the day, but his favorite thing
is crawling under a blanket and curling up with people at night. When his foster parents come in the door, Jake
jumps up and down and cries to welcome them home.
In addition to people, Jake enjoys car rides, walks, and toys. He is doing great with potty training and has
only had a few accidents inside. Jake makes a great companion. He would do best in home with children over 12
and would be happy with or without other small breed siblings. Jake's adoption fee is $175.
