Beautiful little male Chihuahua possibly mixed with Italian Greyhound looking for a forever home. I am Jake, 5 years old and around 7-8 pounds with a beautiful brown, black, and white coat (the ladies say I’m wearing white boots 😉). I was surrendered by my owner and SBRET was contacted by the shelter to help me out! You see I was pretty emaciated and needed to put on some weight before my dental and neuter. I am working hard and doing great on my house training skills, but I need a belly band when I am wandering around the house to prevent marking because I will still do that sometimes. I have been doing great on a harness and a leash.

Of course I’m not perfect (close though). Because my history is not known, my foster mom thinks life on the streets was rough. I sometimes growl if I am on my foster mom‘s lap and someone else wants to pet me or pick me up or if another dog gets in my face. Of course I get corrected for that and lose my lap time! I will get it figured out! I do well with the other small dogs in my home except when I am not wanting to share a lap. Since I am a little shy I need an adult home or one with children over 12 years old. I will do best with someone home part of the day to help me get this house training thing down just right. I sleep quietly in my crate and I am a good boy at night!

I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, current on flea and heart worm medication, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $175.
