Hi, my name is Joey. I am a 3-year-old male Chihuahua mix weighing 8 pounds. In my previous home I wasn't taught things that dogs need to know such as being picked up and loved, walking on a leash or even going outside. When my person could no longer care for me I found myself in the shelter and I was very scared. Luckily SBRET saw the sweet little boy I truly am and rescued me. I am now in my foster home and am learning to trust again.
Here is where I am now: I prefer to be an indoor dog because I am so afraid of the big world outside. My foster mom says that's just fine because I use potty pads and never have had an accident inside. I do not even hike my leg up but squat very nicely on the pad. I am very lovable and will come cuddle with you on the couch but I'm still working on letting you pick me up. I sleep under the covers with my people at night and don't make a sound. I do fine with my other fur buddies and love to play with them. I do not particularly like children as they make me nervous. I only bark when someone comes inside but then I settle right down.
My perfect home:
* Someone that is home most of the time.
* I would really like a fur brother or sister to play with.
* Someone willing to continue to be patient and continue teaching me to be a trusting and loving little guy.
I do not have any health issues. I am microchipped and neutered and my adoption fee is $175.00.
