Meet Kimmie, a super sweet, 5-pound, 5-month-old female Chihuahua mix!
Kimmie has never met a stranger and is a very happy girl! Unfortunately, she did need to have her left eye removed, but it doesn't seem to bother her a bit. She gained many fans at the vet clinic where she had her surgery because of her sparkling personality! She also has a healing injury to her right eye with a tiny cataract that should be monitored at her yearly vet visits.
Kimmie would love to have another playful dog in her forever home but she could also be an only dog as long as her family is active. She has a lot of energy and loves to play with her toys! She also needs lots of things to chew on as she is still a puppy. She is very interested in the cat that lives at her foster home, so much so that any cat in her forever home needs to be dog-savvy. Kids in her forever home need to be a little older, around 8-years-old.
Kimmie is new to leash walking, so either a fenced yard or a willingness to leash train is necessary. She does well on car rides. She is slowly learning the ins and outs of going potty outside, but does well using pee pads. Her forever home will need to have someone home at least part of the day to work on her housetraining and so she isn't in a crate for long periods of time. The only time she barks is when she is trying to get the cat or dogs to play with her.
Kimmie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm and flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $175. If you are interested in adopting Kimmie, submit an adoption application at sbret.com!
