Latte is my name, and I am so happy to be snuggled in my foster home and not out on the streets! I am a female Long-Haired Chihuahua mix, about 7-8 years and weigh 5.5 pounds. I probably need to gain about half a pound. I came into rescue covered in fleas with thin, missing hair and underweight. I seem quite grateful for regular meals, cozy beds, and cuddling time on your lap.

I get along very well with the other small dogs in my foster home but they are pretty low key. I have not shown any interest in playing just yet. My hearing is not perfect as you have to get pretty loud for me to hear you and then I still seem to have a bit of trouble deciding which direction the sound is coming from. I am doing well on my housetraining as long as you are there to let me out frequently or give me access to a pee pad. I am not very barky and seem to be just fine with strangers coming into the home or out in public. Young children would not be a good fit for me since I am so low key and tiny.

My vet did discover that I have a very mild heart murmur but it does not cause me any issues--it will be something your vet will need to listen to each year at my annual checkup. Since I was so flea infested when I came into rescue, I am still a bit itchy and am getting medicated baths for that--hopefully my itchiness will calm down soon. My coat is still recovering from my past neglect, but will be full and shiny given some more time!

If you think I might be the quiet little girl for you, please let my friends at SBRET know! I have been spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm, and flea prevention. My adoption fee is $175.
