Hello my name is Lovey. I'm a 5 year old, gray Chihuahua mix girl and I weigh about 8 pounds. I'm a tad pudgy and need to lose a bit of weight, maybe a half pound or so. I have a very thin coat which seems to be natural for me. You can see my skin just about everywhere! I do have a little tiny white "Mohawk" on the back of my neck that my foster mom thinks is adorable and the best little floppy ears ever!! I came from a shelter where I was in foster care for a few months. Now I'm with Small Breed Rescue so they can help me find a forever home. I'm not talking about my previous life but I can tell you that it was probably not great. But now I'm getting to be a very happy girl! I've learned about toys and they are great fun to shake around. There's several other little dogs here and I prefer the boys more than the girls. Cats seem to be great fun to chase around, so maybe no cats in my forever home. I've not met any small children and my foster mom thinks the children in the home need to be older (over 12) and very patient and gentle with me. I would be a bit of a project dog because I'm working on learning to not to skitter away when my foster mom wants to pick me up. She has taught me the word "wait" and I settle and allow her to pick me up. I need someone that will be patient with me and so I know that I'm safe and loved.

I'm doing great with my house training and I sleep all night in my crate at night without a peep. My foster home has a fenced yard and I really enjoy sniffing around and I walk great on a leash if you don't have a fence. I'm pretty vocal when you are not fixing my meals fast enough!!! And as far as vocal, I'm quick to alert if I hear a noise! So if you live in an apartment I'm not going to make a great neighbor! I don't jump on the furniture but I bet I could learn! My foster mom brings me to the sofa and I'm happy to snuggle down under a few blankets all warm and cozy.

I'm up to date with my vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative. If you have room for a little girl like me, please let my friends at SBRET know…ok? My adoption fee is $175.
