My foster mom knows that "Scruffy Terrier" is not really a dog breed but...if it were, that is what I would be! Luka is my name and I am a cute 5 to 6-year-old, 10-½-pound male Terrier mix. I came into an area shelter with lots of fleas but now I am clean, vetted, eating nutritious food, and am a very happy dog. I am very sweet; I love to wander around my fenced backyard; I sleep very well in a crate at night but I'm sure I'd love to sleep in bed with my people. I can be a little shy at first but warm up quickly. I am around kids in my foster home and do very well with them but they are gentle and kind so kids over 8 years old should be fine.

I get along very well with my foster family's dog. She doesn't want to play so I'm not sure how much I would play with another dog. Toys are not my thing. My foster mom doesn't think I had exposure to a lot of fun dog stuff in my past life.

I am doing very well with my house training. In a new situation, I want to "mark" but a "belly band" is wonderful - a "belly band" is just a wide piece of cloth that Velcros around my middle with a pad in it to catch any accidents while I adjust. After a few days, my foster mom trusted me in the house so I don't have to wear it anymore.

I've been neutered and am up to date on all my shots as well as heartworm and flea preventative. I also had a dental and 4 teeth were extracted. Life is so good now! My adoption fee is $175.
