Maci needs: Hi, my name is Maci (or Maci May, as my foster mom likes to call me). I am a 9.5-pound female Maltese/Poodle mix and I am about 10 years old. I came to the shelter because my owner could no longer take care of me, but I promise I am a sweet girl who is ready to settle in to another home. After a much needed dental cleaning (my breath was super stinky and the vet had to pull a lot of teeth!), I am in good general health, am up to date on my vaccinations and preventives, and have been spayed and microchipped.

I get along fine with other dogs, big or small, but I really love humans best. I spend much of my day following my foster mom from room to room; when I get tired I just perch on the back of the couch so I can keep an eye on her. I don’t mind a leash and I’m very good about doing my business outside, especially if you take me out often for potty breaks. I sleep quietly all night in my crate, knowing people are close by. If you put me in a crate during the day, I may bark in protest. I just have to learn that you will always come back for me.

I don’t mind car rides and you’ll need to take me to get my hair trimmed real pretty on a regular basis. I walk and run and go up and down steps just fine, but the vet says my knees are a little bad so not too much jumping and the fewer the stairs the better. Rambunctious play is not really my thing. I am a pretty laid back girl and just ready to chill in my new forever home. Are you my person? My adoption fee is $100.
