Hi there! My name is Pattycake. I’m an 8-pound, 6ish-year-old female Shih Tzu. I am a super sweet happy little lady! I spent my life being a breeder in a puppy mill. Thanks to SBRET I have a name for the first time in my life and I will never have any more puppies! I am loving learning about the world. My foster family has taught me that humans can be wonderful and that I am super loveable. I take a bit to warm up to new people, I can be scared at first but will warm up to them. I really enjoy playing with my toys and chewing on nylabones. When I’m excited, I stomp and kick my back legs, giving me the nickname, Happyfeet! I love lying out in the sun. I do well with my house training if you take me out regularly but will sometimes have accidents in the house. I walk on a leash but will put the breaks on if I feel overwhelmed or to just take it all in. My foster parents keep me gated in the dining room with my dog bed when they leave and I never have any accidents when I’m in there. When I came into foster care, I had a skin issue and had a lot of hair missing, but it’s coming back quite nicely and as you can see, I’m ridiculously adorable. Even though I’m a Shih Tzu, my front legs look more like a Bulldog, but my foster parents say that it just adds to my cuteness. I sleep quietly at night in an expen but am trying to transition into a crate. I’m just a very silly, happy little lady. I get along well with other dogs and like to play with them and I love to play with the kitty in my foster home, he plays with me more than the dogs. I will do best if I have a playful dog or kitty buddy. I will need an adult home or one with children over 12 years old. I am spayed, up to date on all my shots as well as flea and heartworm prevention and have had a dental where I lost a couple teeth. I’m ready for my furever home with someone who will continue to show me how beautiful the world is and how nice people can be! My adoption fee is $175.
