*Blind and beautiful*
Miss Sadie is a 12-year-old, 15-pound female Poodle mix looking for her furever family/companion to help her navigate through her retirement. She loves to lie around in a warm sunny spot during the day and sleeps in a crate at night. Her potty skills are improving and she loves to go outside in the fenced yard and roll in the grass. She will be having her "spay" day soon and will be available for adoption soon after.
If you are considering adopting this sweet furgirl here are some tips to consider.
1. If you have stairs, a baby gate will be needed to block them.
2. Blind dogs love a soothing and calm voice when you approach/talk to them.
3. Touching them before picking them up keeps them from being startled.
4. Laying a mat down in front of the door helps with potty training. Blind dogs can learn to go to this special mat when they need to go potty outside.
Sadie gets along ok with other dogs and if there are any children in the home, they should be over eight years old. Miss Sadie is up to date on her vaccinations and is receiving monthly heartworm/flea preventive. If you think you could be that special person for Miss Sadie, submit an application or stop by an adoption event to meet this sweet furgirl. Her adoption fee is $100.
Blind but extremely smart!
