Scooter's Requirements
- Adult home or one with kids over 12
- Only dog or a quiet senior dog who will let Scooter have his own space
- No apartments as Scooter likes to express himself!

Hello friends, I would like you to meet Scooter! Scooter is an adorable 13-year-old, 10-pound male Chihuahua (maybe Pekingese?) mix. His story is pretty sad. He had the same dad his whole life, but unfortunately his dad developed dementia and was no longer able to care for him. He came to us with hip dysplasia and bladder stones, both of which needed surgery to correct. Recovery was slow for him, and he may always walk with a limp, but doesn't need any more surgeries and best of all he is no longer in any pain!

Scooter is a quiet little guy. He loves going outside, and likes to go for short walks around the yard. He really loves looking out the window from his little bed and will bark at different things that he finds interesting. Right now, he doesn't interact with the other dogs and he is not a cuddly guy with me—he finds his favorite cozy place. He's a good eater, is doing great with his potty training, and sleeps all night without a peep. Might he turn into a snuggler at some point? I don't know, but right now he's most comfortable in his own bed.

He's very sweet and as you can see he's absolutely adorable, he just likes his space. He would do best in a quiet home. Other dogs are okay with him, but right now he probably won't interact with them.

So, anyone out there want to give this sweet old man a quiet retirement home? He once had someone who really loved him, and I think he deserves to have that love again, don't you? Scooter is neutered and microchipped and current on all his vaccines and preventions. His adoption fee is $100.
