Hello! Scout checking in here. I am a 4-year old female 9.5-pound Terrier mix but honestly the Terrier part is just a guess. The one thing everyone seems to agree on is that I am adorable! I am a very sweet but submissive girl that loves to cuddle with my people or another quiet dog. My foster home is nice but it is pretty noisy and chaotic with a 4 year old running around. I think for my forever home I would like a home that is a little quieter with children over 12. They aren't as jumpy to be around and I could relax a little easier.
My foster mom thinks I am kind of a paradox, whatever that means. On the one hand I act like I haven't ever lived inside a house, but on the other hand I have never had a potty accident in the house. I am crate-trained and it is my haven when I get scared or stressed out. I do ok riding in the car, but it stresses me out some - that may get better as I have had a lot of changes in a short period of time.
My foster mom says I am very smart and that if you have a fence, you need to make sure that it is very secure. I had only been in my foster home a few hours when I found the one spot that I might get out. I had spent those first few hours looking for a way to get out! I just wanted to go explore but evidently that was not a good idea.
What I really want is someone who will love me and give me the time to come all the way out of my shell and be the wonderful little dog I know I can be. I get along with the other dogs here and as long as they aren't pushy I think I would like a dog buddy to snuggle with. On the other hand if you want me to be your only dog that is fine with me!
I have been spayed, microchipped, on heartworm preventative, and I am up to date on all my shots and vetting. If you think you have room in your heart and home for a sweet little dog that only wants to be loved then I am the girl for you. Please let my friends at SBRET know. My adoption fee is $175.
