Hi, my name is Scruffy! I am a 16-pound male terrier mix and am approximately 2 years old. Small Breed Rescue of East Tennessee saved me from a place that was not taking very good care of me, so little is known about my history. Today I am happy and safe in the care of my foster mom, but what I really want is a forever home to call my own.
I don’t want to brag, but there are tons of really cool things about me! Although I’m small, I am full of energy and curiosity. I enjoy taking long walks, bird watching, paddle boarding, hiking, and riding in the car with my foster mom. I have a 5-year old, 65-pound, very furry foster sister that I love to play with. It’s great having her around to keep me company, and I’d say that I do pretty well with other dogs. I will need a proper introduction but once that is done I enjoy having a playmate.
While I think I would be an asset to any household, I have some needs of my own. I’m best suited for a home where my family is around most of the time. Also, my foster mom says that I’m 90% housetrained. As long as my people do their part and take me outside consistently, I will do my part. I can sleep in a crate, but then you would miss out on what my foster mom loves most about me. She tells I’m the best snuggler she has ever met.
I may be small in stature, but my heart is full of love to give to my forever family. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. I am currently taking heartworm and flea and tick preventative medication. My adoption fee is $175.
