Hi, my name is Trixie. I am a sweet, female 6-month-old chihuahua mix puppy weighing in at 5.6 pounds.
When I first came to my foster home, I was very shy and nervous but it only took a couple of days for me to get comfortable and love everyone - humans and dogs. My favorite spot is to be snuggled up beside by foster mom on her desk chair or on the couch. I sleep quietly in my crate at night next to my foster mom's bed but I would probably be much happier if I could sleep beside my humans on the big bed. When there are no humans around, I snuggle with my furry foster brother.
All the dogs in my foster home are seniors and not interested in playing but I would really like to have a furry best friend to play with. My foster mom thinks I would be ideal for someone who is looking for a companion for their current pet. I have not been around children but since I am so small and my bone structure is delicate, it would be best if I go to a home with gentle children over 8 years old. I have not been around cats. Being a puppy, my foster mom is helping me with house training and leash walking so I need someone with daytime flexibility in my forever home to continue with my training. A secure fenced yard would be nice but I can go potty outside on a leash so a fenced yard is not required as long as you are willing to exercise me daily.
I have been spayed, am up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention. My adoption fee is $175.
