Meet Turner! He is an 11-pound male Pekingese, approximately 7 months old. He was an owner surrender to an area shelter. He is a friendly little guy who never meets a stranger! Turner gets along well with other small dogs and really wants to get to know the cat of the house, so any cats in his forever home need to be dog-savvy. He loves to play with other small dogs when he can, but has also started to like toys and can have some serious battles with a toy!
Turner is doing well with housetraining, but will need continued reinforcement. Someone who is home part of the day and with a fenced yard will be best for Turner. He will need an adult home or one with children over 8 years old. Turner loves to romp around and run in circles in a fenced backyard, especially when his foster mom is there to be his audience. He is learning how to walk on a leash, but because he is new to leash walking, it is a work in progress. He prefers to go potty off-leash in a secure fenced area. He sleeps well in a crate at night and when his foster mom leaves the house for a few hours here and there. He is a good car rider. Regular professional grooming will be necessary to keep his coat in good condition.
If you are interested in adopting this fluffy fur ball of sweetness, fill out an online adoption application. Turner is up-to-date on vaccinations, on flea and heartworm preventative, will be neutered and microchipped before going to his forever home. His adoption fee is $175.
