Active adult home or one with children 8 years and older
Hello! My name is Acorn. I am a tan and black, 2-year-old, 23-pound, spayed female beagle mix. I was brought to a veterinary clinic by a good samaritan after being found in a very rural area and no one claimed me so I was brought to Small Breed Rescue. I am currently in a foster home with a golden retriever, and we get along very well! I do not like to play or roughhouse with her, but I do like to lie next to her on the couch or carpet.
I absolutely LOVE food and will eat anything I can reach! I also love to be outside. I would love to have a fenced backyard where I could spend time chasing squirrels, exploring, and lying out in the sunshine. I am a very sweet girl, and my tail goes wild anytime someone comes to pet me or even looks in my direction. I love attention!
When my foster family is out of the house or at night time, I am placed in my kennel were I usually just curl up in my blankets and fall asleep. I sleep through the night and have never gone potty in my kennel. If allowed, I`m sure I would love to snuggle in bed with my new owner.
I am housetrained and enjoy going outside for walks around the neighborhood. Just remember to hold onto my leash tightly, because if I see a squirrel I will try and run after them!
I have been spayed, microchipped and am up to date on all of my vaccines. I am currently taking heartworm and flea preventatives and have a clean bill of health from my veterinarian.
If I sound like the dog for you, please fill out an application at SBRET.com. My adoption fee is $175.
