Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Edgar needs:

• Adult home or one with kids over 8
• Someone home part of the day to continue reinforcing my potty training

Introducing Edgar! This sweet and adorable male 6 year old, 15 pound Shih Tzu mix is seeking his forever human.

Whether you are an active person or not, Edgar is adaptable in any situation. He is always up for a walk, car ride, meeting new people or just lounging in your lap. A fenced yard is not a requirement but would love to have a small area where he can lounge in the sun. He is great with older children and would love to have another fur buddy to play with. When he arrived into rescue, he did have patches of hair loss due to fleas but with medicated baths, his hair is growing back. He will  need to continue with medicated baths  at least once a week for the next few weeks. His skin at the base of his tail was damaged from untreated skin infections, and it may never be normal. His potty skills are not 100% but he is doing better with that, so keeping him on a potty schedule would be best. He does not require someone home all day, but part of the day would be ideal because he absolutely loves human companionship. A home or an apartment would be fine because he is a quiet little boy.

He is up to date on vaccinations, heart worm/flea medication and is neutered. His adoption fee is $175.
