🐾 Meet Frank!
Hi there, I’m Frank! I’m a 2-year-old, 13.5-pound Dachshund mix, and I like to think of myself as a sweet little guy with a big heart. Even though I’m young, I’m pretty calm for my age, and I absolutely love belly rubs and snuggling on the couch.
It took me a little longer to warm up to my foster dad, but he’s been so patient with me, and now I’m learning to trust him more each day. I’m shy around new people, so I’ll need a family who understands that I might take a little time to feel safe.
I’m doing really well with house training, but leash walks make me nervous. That’s why I’ll need a fenced yard where I can take my potty breaks and feel secure. When my foster parents leave the house, I just curl up for a nap and wait quietly until they come home. I do need a “puppy-proof” space with chew toys when you leave me unsupervised as I still occasionally want to find something to chew up!
At night, I sleep in a crate right next to my foster parents’ bed, and I ride like a champ in the car—I just curl up in my seat and snooze. I also enjoy hanging out with my furry foster siblings. They’re older and don’t really want to play, but I think it would be fun to have another dog friend in my forever home who likes to play and nap with me.
I’m looking for a home with adults or kids who are at least 8 years old, and of course, a fenced yard is a must. I’ve already been neutered, microchipped, and I’m up to date on vaccines and preventatives. My adoption fee is $175.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loving pup who just wants to be your cuddle buddy, I think we’d be perfect together. 💕
