Jenny

Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Jenny needs:

  • A dog savvy home familiar with shy dogs
  • A furry playmate similar in size to Jenny
  • Gentle children over the age of 12
  • No apartments – I like to sing the song of my people when you are gone
  • A securely fenced yard

I want to introduce my foster girl, Jenny. She came from a hoarding situation where there were over 70 dogs. Jenny is a female Chihuahua mix about 3 years old, weighs a little over 8 pounds and has the sweetest personality! Her coat is short and her coloring is black, tan with just a sprinkle of white on her neck.  She has long elegant legs that she folds into the most adorable positions.  She was pretty scared when she first came to my home but she has blossomed into a playful and very loving little girl. She would benefit from a furry playmate that is similar in size to play with and to show her the ropes.

She has done great with her house training. She will need a secure fenced yard because she still needs work with walking on a leash. She sleeps perfectly in a crate at night BUT when I leave her in her crate when I run errands, she is very vocal so your apartment neighbors would not appreciate her songs. :-(. I have noticed that her desire is to be in the big bed with me and most likely when she gets to her forever home.

She will need a patient home to help her along her way to understanding that she is safe and loved. I know that Jenny will make a wonderful companion for the right person. I feel that younger rambunctious kids under the age of 12 might be too much for her and she would benefit from a dog savvy home that understands the shy ones. I have a couple of cats in my home, she is interested in sniffing them but that’s all she does. I’m not sure she has seen a cat before.

Jenny is up to date with her vaccinations, been spayed  and is on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. If you think Jenny is just right for you, I invite you to fill out an application.

 Sincerely,

Jenny’s foster mom.
