Jimbo

Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Jimbo needs:

  • Adult home or one with children 8 years and older
  • Regular professional grooming
  • Someone home part of the day to take me outside for potty breaks

Hello! My name is Jimbo!

I’m a 6-year-old, 13-pound male Shih Tzu looking for my forever home. My previous owner could no longer care for me, so SBRET is helping me find a new loving family of my own. When I arrived in foster care, my coat had to be shaved because I had fleas, and my skin was irritated from flea allergies. The good news is that my skin has improved, and my soft fur is already growing back!

After just a couple of days in foster care, I settled right in. I love following my foster mom around the house and keeping her company while she works from home. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion, I might be your guy!

I get along well with the senior dogs in my foster home. I tried to get them to play at first, but when they weren’t interested, I politely gave them their space. I also enjoy meeting new people and dogs on my walks, and my foster mom says I have excellent leash manners.

I do best with regular potty breaks outside and will also use pee pads indoors if needed, especially on rainy days. I really don’t like going out in the rain! At night, I sleep in a crate next to my foster mom’s bed, although I’d much rather curl up in the big bed with my human.

Because my foster family hasn’t seen me around young children, I’d do best in an adult home or one with children age 8 and older.

If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate walking buddy who wants to be by your side, I could be the perfect match!

I am neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives, and I recently had a dental cleaning with no teeth removed. My adoption fee is $175.

Could I be the newest member of your family?
