Mac

Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.

Mac needs:

  • Active Adult home and children over 8 years old
  • Someone home part of the day since I am a puppy and need puppy training
  • Everyone steady on their feet – I am small and tend to get underfoot
  • Fenced area for potty breaks
  • No apartments as I am not yet fully vaccinated

Hi there! My name is Mac — as in Mac ’n Cheese — because I’m just as comforting and lovable as the real thing. I’m a 9‑week‑old male Chihuahua mix (as of January 28th) and currently weigh just under 4 pounds. I was born on Thanksgiving Day along with my nine siblings, so we all ended up with festive food names. My mom is a sweet Chihuahua mix, and I definitely inherited her easygoing personality.

With my short legs and long little body, there’s a good chance I have some dachshund in me too. I may be tiny, but I’m sturdy, curious, and full of puppy charm.

A few things about me:

  • I’m doing great with house training for my age. I potty when taken outside, but like all puppies, I’ll need my forever family to continue helping me learn.
  • I’ll need a fenced yard because I haven’t learned to walk on a leash yet — and trust me, these short legs can move surprisingly fast!
  • I currently sleep through the night in an x‑pen with my sister, Giblet. I may need a little time to adjust to sleeping solo in my new home, but I’m a smart boy and will figure it out with patience and love.

Health & Adoption Info:

  • I’m up to date on age‑appropriate vaccines.
  • I’m scheduled to be neutered on February 5th and will be ready to go home a few days afterward.
  • My adoption fee is $175.

If you’re looking for a sweet and utterly adorable little guy to grow up with, I’d love to be your new best friend.
