Welcome Ruby to rescue!

Miss Ruby is a young-at-heart 10 year old  female Maltese mix  weighing in at a petite 8 pounds. She is very low maintenance, requiring just a warm lap and soft blanket to lay her head on. An ideal home for her would be someone home part of the day but if not, she’s content to lounge about in her bed waiting for her human to come home. She doesn’t require a fenced yard and an apartment would be fine because she is very quiet. She does have arthritic hips and stiff knees but she can run, use stairs and take shorts walks around the neighborhood. At some point, she may require pain medication to manage her arthritis, but does not at the current time. Children eight years or older would be best.  If other dogs are in the home, she would be best with a calm  senior like her. She is a little shy in the beginning but warms up quickly to her humans. Ruby does well with her housetraining  and will  go outside or will also use a potty pad.

The most recent bloodwork showed no abnormalities and she recently had a dental and had 11 teeth extracted. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm and flea prevention.
