🐾 Meet Spencer!

Spencer is an 11-month-old male Japanese Chin weighing about 11 pounds. He’s a sweet, playful little guy who loves toys, going for walks, and curling up with his person. Spencer warms up to new people quickly and once he does, he’s ready to be your loyal best friend. Spencer is still a young, active dog and will do best in a home with another small dog and people who can keep up with his playful energy and include him in daily life.

He absolutely loves other small dogs and really thrives with a canine buddy to play and zoom around the yard with. He is very playful with toys and loves to play fetch.  Spencer currently lives with cats and has learned to leave them alone, though he can be curious at times.

Spencer is very eager to please his person, which makes him a joy to work with. He’s still finishing up his house training and currently wears a belly band as he continues learning, so he will need a patient adopter willing to keep helping him succeed.

He does best when someone is home most of the time and prefers a house without shared walls, as he will bark when left alone. Spencer also needs regular brushing and occasional eye care to keep the fur under his eyes dry and healthy.

Spencer came to us already neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention — ready for his forever home.
