Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.
Squash needs:
- Active adult home and if children they need to be at least 5 years old
- Someone home to keep working on my housetraining
- No apartments as I’m not fully vaccinated
Hello, my name is Squash. I am a Male Chihuahua mix born on Thanksgiving Day and my nine siblings and I each got a festive name taken from the Thanksgiving table. I was 11 weeks old and weighed 7.2 pounds on February 13th and I will be neutered and microchipped on February 5th. After that, I will be ready to go home with my furever family.
I have a soft, light tan coat with the cutest markings of white on my forehead, chest, my four paws and the tip of my tail. I love giving lots of kisses and I make cooing sounds when I get picked up and held. You might think I am growling but I am just content to be held and cannot help but express how enjoyable it feels to be held and loved. I am very active and like playing chase and tug-o-war with my siblings. My foster mom has two dogs and a cat, and I get along really well with all of them. My foster mom has been taking me outside to potty even in the cold weather. If I don’t have an opportunity to go outside, I will use a pee pad, but I am working hard on my outside potty skills! My foster mom recommends the washable kind because I like to tear up the disposable kind since they make a crinkling sound like some of my other toys!
I have an adventurous spirit and am the first of my siblings to explore the unknown frontier of my foster mom’s backyard. It would be great to have a young, friendly dog buddy in my forever home — someone who can keep up with my puppy energy. I play hard and when I get tired, I go to sleep in a crate with two of my siblings. Once adopted, I will need to learn to be comfortable sleeping alone in the crate so bear with me if I cry a little at first. I take naps throughout the day and sleep through the night. I need to go potty as soon as I wake up and also after I eat.
🌟 A Few Things About Me
• Even though I am doing great with house training for my age, like all puppies, I occasionally have accidents. I’ll need my new family to be understanding and keep helping me learn.
• A fenced yard would be great because I haven’t learned how to walk on a leash yet. You will need to help me learn to walk on a leash — I can’t be outside off leash because I can run very fast
• I have started wearing my collar and I was also cooperative about dressing in a snow suit. Who knows, maybe one day I will be featured on Puppy Project Runaway because I look very handsome in a suit!
I will be neutered and microchipped and am up to date on age appropriate vaccines. My adoption fee is $175.
