My name is Yogi, Look at me — I’m a very Handsome 5 year old male Maltese mix weighing in at just over 10 pounds with very soft white fur. In my past life I was not cared for the way I should have been. My fur was very matted so I had to have a very short haircut and it will be so beautiful and soft when it grows back. My new family will need to take me to be professionally groomed about every 6 to 8 weeks and brush me in between appointments so I never look or feel that way again.
My foster mom always tells me what a good boy I am. I’m doing very well with my housetraining as long as I’m taken out to potty on a regular routine. I walk well on a leash/harness. I get along well with the other dogs in my foster home – I’m a pretty chill kind of guy and would probably be ok living with a cat if you have one. I like to be close to my person and I do get under foot sometimes so everyone needs to be steady on their feet. I’m very gentle and would do ok with a calm gentle child at least 7 years of age. I’m starting to show some interest in toys and playing with the other dogs.
I sleep quietly in my crate all night and would probably sleep a little later if the other dogs didn’t wake me so early in the morning. My foster mom either gates or crates me when she needs to leave the house for a few hours and she watches me on her camera I just nap until she returns. I ride crated in the car to keep me safe and you won’t hear a peep out of me. I recently had my checkup and that was all good news.
My vaccines and flea/heartworm preventions are all up to date. I’m neutered, microchipped and recently had my teeth cleaned.
