Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Boomer needs: My name is Boomer. I am a 12-year-old, 14-pound male Chihuahua mix. I was rescued by SBRET from a shelter in East Tennessee. I had infected ears and skin issues that quickly resolved with medication and special baths. I now have a beautiful, healthy coat growing in that makes me very handsome.

I was stressed from being in the noisy shelter, but once I was in my foster home, I have become relaxed and happy. I am your “Goldilocks Just Right” boy! I am affectionate, but not intrusive; I am cuddly, but not clingy; I am active, but not hyper! In other words—Just Right! I love the soft beds and blankets at my foster home where I sleep all night in their den. Although, for the record, I would love to sleep in your bed. I love playing with the dog toys and even throw them up in the air to chase. I enjoy walks on my leash and my outside time in my foster mom’s fenced yard. I’m getting really good at my potty training and do need to go out every couple of hours, so someone home at least part of the day to reinforce my progress would be best for me. I do love my fenced yard but if you are willing to take me out on a leash every couple hours, I would do fine without a fenced yard too.

I have a calm temperament and get along well with my foster mom’s two dogs, but would also be happy to be your one and only. I greet visitors calmly with no barking, just tail wags to request pets.

I have been neutered, microchipped, and had my dental procedure (where 6 teeth were removed). I am up to date on vaccines, heartworm & flea/tick preventatives. I am a little hard of hearing, which is why my name, BOOMER, is perfect for me!

If you want a sweet, affectionate, calm boy to be your best friend, please complete the adoption application and indicate that you are interested in BOOMER. My adoption fee is $100.
