Hello - my name is Briley. I am a female terrier mix, weigh 10 pounds, and
estimated to be about 6 years old. I have soft white and tan fur and a fluffy tail, and I have the
cutest underbite which makes me look like I am always grinning :-). I
came in as a stray at an area shelter and when I first arrived at my
foster home, I was stressed from the long car ride and was very fearful. But after I was allowed to decompress and get comfortable in my new environment, I warmed up to my foster mom and dad and I turned into a cuddle bug! I am doing well with my
house training - my foster mom works from home so she is able to take
me out to potty during the day. At night, I sleep quietly in a crate
beside my foster parents' bed. I get along well with the other dogs in
my home but I would also be ok if I were your one and only. I have not
been a barker at my foster home, except for when new people come to
the house. That's why my ideal home would be a quiet one with not many
visitors. I get very nervous in the car so I would not be the best
travel buddy if that is what you are looking for. I do love going for
walks around neighborhood. I walk well on a leash but I need a fenced yard when I move to a new home based on how I was when I first came to my foster home. I will likely be very scared and will be a flight risk until I learn to trust my new owners (which does not take long).
I have been spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and heartworm/flea
prevention. I had a dental and only lost a few teeth. I have a low grade
heart murmur but the vet did an xray of my heart and said that I
currently don't need any medication. My adoption fee is $175.
