Champ's Needs: Hi! My name is Champ. I am an 8 to 10-year-old, 11-pound male Jack Russell mix. I am a handsome, sweet boy looking for a special adopter for a furever home! SBRET was contacted by an area shelter as I had a lot of lumps that needed investigating! Of course they said yes! I had all of those lumps removed and it turns out they were Sebaceous epitheliomas. Luckily they got clean margins when they were removed and those types of cancerous nodules do not tend to spread. So I am just fine but might need to have any removed that could pop up in the future. I have had all the sutures removed but I kind of look like I have been in a bad accident, LOL, but foster mom says my fur will grow back really pretty! I am a handsome boy who likes to kick up my heels in the yard on occasion. My foster mom says she doesn't think my hearing is great so she uses hand signals when I am outside. I am not your "let's take a hike" pup but I might like a stroll down the road. My potty training is still in progress and I do wear a belly band in the house — it is usually dry so I am getting much better. I will potty on a leash but I do like to meander around the yard and just take in the sunshine. I also like the couch, preferably next to my foster mom but basically where ever her bossy Poodle lets me sit! Since I am hard of hearing, no young children for me! I might not be good in an apartment because if I see the scary FedEx guy, I will bark to protect everyone. I do have a tremor from time to time, especially in my back side but it doesn't seem to bother me or indicate that my legs are weak, remember running in the yard? LOL. The vets have checked me out and no reason could be found for the occasional tremor. I am a laid back, chill little guy looking for love and scratchies! I am neutered, microchipped, had my teeth cleaned, and I am up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm/flea prevention. My adoption fee is $100.
