Hello, my name is Kai, rhymes with sky. I’m approximately 2 years old and a male. I have a beautiful white coat with soft tan makings and soft brown eyes. Everyone thinks I’m a Chihuahua mix with a little bit of Italian Greyhound because I have long elegant legs. I weigh just under 12 pounds.
I’ve been in foster care for a little bit and I’ve learned so much! One is that I can get along with dogs that don’t get in my face. If they do, I will growl at them. I’ve learned that I love playing with the young Chihuahua mix here and running to my heart’s content in the fenced yard. If you have another little dog near my size, I’ll need some time to realize that it IS fun to have a playmate.
There are cats here in my foster home and when they get near me, I growl at them and I’ve chased them a little. The cats here have lived with foster dogs and usually don’t pay us (fosters) much attention. So I’ve learned that I can co-exist with the right cat(s). I’m good at alerting to noises outside, so I would not be a good neighbor if you live in an apartment or condo. I’m working on a walking on a leash and I do my “duties” (house training) outside.
I love my foster mom and love to hang out with her and watch TV. I love my food and look forward to my meals. My ideal home would have room for me in the big bed (but I do sleep as quiet as a mouse in a crate), a fenced yard and a warm and loving lap. I ride great in the car curled up in the seat. I like to go along for the ride to Lowe’s, Home Depot, or other dog-friendly establishments, I want to be your buddy!
