My name is Mitzi. I’m a 6½-pound, 3-year-old female Chinese Crested mix. I’m white and black with a great mohawk and underbite. I’m not all fluffy but I am adorable in my own sort of way. My foster mom tells me how wonderful I am doing in her home. I am very quiet, calm, and gentle. I love being held and warm up to people quickly - I really like being with my person and I stay close so everyone needs to be sure-footed so no one gets hurt. I will always be waiting for you to sit down so I can snuggle with you. Children need to be gentle and at least 7 years of age because of my size. I get along well with the other dogs but there are a couple I stay away from. I would probably do ok with cats as long as they keep their distance but my foster mom doesn’t know for sure. I haven’t shown any interest in stuffed squeaky toys but I do like a good chew toy sometimes. I sleep quietly in my crate at night and when my foster mom needs to leave the house for a couple hours. I like having my crate near by as it’s my safe place when things get too busy for me. My foster mom takes me out to potty every few hours and I’m doing amazingly well with my potty skills (I don’t use pee pads) so hopefully that will continue in my forever home. I do walk well on a leash/harness – you lead and I’ll follow. If you do have a secure fenced yard that would be even better as long as you stay out with me to keep me safe. I don’t like the cold or wet grass so plan on quick trips out to potty. I do well crated in the car when we go for a ride - I usually just nap. I had a great check up with the vet – I’m up to date preventions and vaccines. The vet recommended a distemper/parvo booster 12/09/24 to help keep me healthy because I didn’t have a record of my vaccine history when I came to SBRET.
I had a couple of retained baby teeth removed when I was spayed and microchipped. My adoption fee is $175.
