Hi everyone! My name is Nacho. I’m a 1-yr-old, 8.4-pound male Maltese. I’m a very loving little boy who wants all your attention. I love to play with other dogs, but can be a bit possessive of my toys toward other dogs when playing fetch. A home with children at least 10 yrs old who would play with me would be wonderful. I still have a lot of puppy energy. I love following you everywhere you go so you’ll have to be careful not to step on me because I stay close. I love sleeping in bed with someone.
I’m doing well on my house manners but still have the occasional accident. I’ll need continued reinforcement in my new home. I have started going to the door when I want out so you have to pay attention, or I’ll have an accident. When I roam the house I wear a belly band just in case (male wrap which I’ll bring with me to my forever home). I probably won’t have to wear it much longer. I walk well on a leash and would enjoy going on walks. I travel well in a car but would do better in a doggy seat rather than a crate.
I need someone home most of the day because I do have separation issues. I calm down in my crate but will chew up things so my foster mom just puts a blanket to lie on and makes sure I can’t get her curtains again through the crate. My foster mom will give me a chewy when she has to leave for a little while. I really don’t like being alone for more than 2-3 hours. I’d like to have another playful dog to keep me busy when you can’t spend time with me. I will enjoy playing and running outside in a fenced yard with you.
