A playful, young dog buddy or person who likes lots of activity—I’m not a couch potato!
Someone home part of the day
Someone patient and willing to continue training me to be a confident, obedient pup
No apartments (I have a big voice and know how to use it when I want to)
My name is Ollie. I am a 2-year-old, 8-pound male Chihuahua mix. I came from a dog hoarding situation so I had a lot to learn when I came to SBRET. I had never been outside, and the first time my foster mom put me down in the grass I was afraid to move. Now I do well on a leash, love walks and sniffing around outside and am doing well with my house training. If you want a bed buddy, I’m your man! But I’ve also learned to sleep in a crate at night close to my foster parents’ bed. I’m learning a few words and commands like “Go night-night” (to go in my crate) and “Stay.” I get along well with other dogs but sometimes want to hog all the attention. I am learning how to play with toys and love cuddling and hanging out in any lap that is available after I have a chance to exercise!! When I meet new people I can be a bit barky but I eventually calm down.
I ride well in the car and am just one curious, energetic pup. If you want to be the one to help me continue on this journey of learning to be a happy, fun-loving dog, then please apply to adopt me. I am up to date on my vaccines and heartworm and flea prevention. I’m also neutered and microchipped. My adoption fee is $175.
