Raven's Needs: Hi! I’m Raven. I am a 5-year-old female, 18-pound Shih Tzu/Schnauzer mix. I came to rescue along with another dog via a local shelter when our owner could no longer take care of us because he had to go to assisted living. I enjoy having a dog buddy, so another dog in the home that I could love and play with is a must for me!

My foster mom and dad say I am a very sweet and loving girl. I like to be near them when they are home and I love to cuddle but I don’t have to be in your lap all the time. I am good in a crate when you have to leave the house, and I will sleep in a crate at night but I would really like to sleep with you as well! I am doing good with my potty training, but I still have accidents in the house so I will need someone who will be patient and work with me and who is home part of the day.

I love to be outside and explore! My foster parents have a fenced backyard for me to explore, but I would also be happy going on a walk each day with you and my companion dog! The vet says I could stand to lose a pound or 2 so being able to exercise is important.

When I came to rescue I had a skin infection which caused me to lose some of my fur. It is growing back nicely now. You can see I have a beautiful black and grey coat and exotic rings around my eyes that can look like a mask! That makes me very unique because most other dogs don’t look like me! My foster dad says I am beautiful and my forever family will be very lucky to have me! I am spayed and up to date on all my shots, have had a dental cleaning, am microchipped, and am current on flea and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $175.
