Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Riblet needs: Hello, my name is Riblet. I am a sweet 3-year-old, 11-lb male Chihuahua mix. I was rescued from the shelter life and prior to being in a shelter my story gets a little confusing. I am a very sweet boy and handsome. I love to have my belly rubbed.

I may need a short period to adjust to my new family as I do not do well with strangers and will bark and growl but once I get acclimated I will be your best friend. I do pretty well with my house training and I am comfortable with using a doggy door to go into a fenced area. I do walk on a leash fine but have a lot of energy so a fenced yard will be best for me. My foster mom encourages me to sit on the couch so that she can put a leash on me as I try to get more belly rubs. I eat in a crate because I love to eat any food that I can get my paws on. I also sleep in a crate with very little whining but I would rather sleep in the big bed with my person. I am learning to take naps to calm down and to cuddle with my foster mom. I do well in a car but my foster mom says I have to sit in a booster seat, which I am getting accustomed to.

I enjoy playing fetch and I am getting better at bringing back toys. I do ok with the other dogs in the house as long as they are not in my face too much. I would not mind having a home to myself because I love to get all the attention and belly rubs. I do chase the cat at my foster home so I would do better without cats in my forever home.

It was suspected by the shelter that I had crystals in my urine but the last test I had by SBRET’s vet did not show any. I will need to get retested in the upcoming weeks to ensure that I can stay on regular food, otherwise I may need to be on a special diet. Currently I am doing great!

Overall, I am a happy little Chihuahua mix. I enjoy following my foster mom around the house and will sleep in the office while she works. If you are in the kitchen though I will be right there with you because I love food.

I’m neutered, microchipped, also up to date on my vaccines, flea and heartworm preventions. My adoption fee is $175.

Don’t forget I’m looking for a professional belly rubber. If you think this could be you please contact my friends at SBRET.com and I could become your new best friend.
