Hi, my name is Deeva. I am a female Yorkie about 10 years old and weigh 2.6 pounds but don’t let my size fool you. I am quite capable of getting your attention and will instrumentally bark for food when it is time to eat so apartment living may not be a good fit depending on your neighbors. Since I am so small, a sure-footed adult home accustomed to living with tiny dogs would be the best and safest for me. Not sure about furry cat friends. I do get along with my foster siblings, but if they get too much into my space, I will respectfully let out a tiny growl. I don’t show my teeth, because I don’t have any! I would be fine as an only dog as I don’t tend to cuddle with my foster fur siblings.
Even though I have no teeth I eat soaked kibble just fine. I will sleep in my own bed or crate as long as it is close to my human, but I prefer to sleep in the big bed with my foster siblings/mom. When my foster mom has to leave I stay in an indoor expen with my cozy bed. I walk well on a leash, enjoy car rides, can manage 4-5 steps, and I am the perfect travel size companion. I do well with my housetraining as long as taken outside frequently. I am up to date on all vaccines, heartworm/flea preventions, spayed, microchipped, etc. I did have a small benign mole removed from my belly as a precaution but a biopsy was sent out to confirm it was nothing to worry about.
