Zeda needs: Hey everyone I'm Zeda! Or ZZ, or just Z if you want. I'm so agreeable I'll answer to anything! I'm a 10-year-old, 16-lb Shih Tzu girl. Yes, I know, I'm a little older, I only have one eye, and my teeth are just silly, but I love my face, it's the face of a survivor. I was a very sad, neglected little girl when my rescue friends brought me in. I have been in rescue for a while now, because my fur was so matted and dirty I had to be shaved down, and my skin was so bad I've had to have medical treatment. But that is all in my past, and my foster mom has promised me that my life will be wonderful from here on out! And I believe her!

Although I can't see out of my left eye, it is not painful to me, and the vet said I don't need any medical treatment for it. I will need to be professionally groomed on a regular basis so that my fur never gets so badly matted again! I've had my dental, so my teeth are just about as good as they're going to get! They don't bother me at all, I eat my dry kibble just fine, and who doesn't love a little underbite!

I didn't know anything about potty training when I came here so that has been new to me, but my foster mom says I'm doing really well. I potty outside like a good girl if she takes me every couple of hours. If I can't get outside, I potty on a pad that she leaves down on the floor for me. At night, I sleep in my own bed on the floor next to my foster mom's bed and will sleep quietly there all night. When she has to go anywhere during the day, I hang out in the living room with the other dogs. No need to crate me, I don't get into any trouble. I don't need a lot of exercise, but I am learning to walk on a harness and enjoy short walks. I was never taken outside before so it's all new to me. I do love lying in the sun on the back deck and just enjoying the fresh air.

My foster mom says I am the sweetest, happiest little girl and she loves that even though I'm older, I still love a good game of tug of war with the other dogs! I have been treated for allergies, probably due to neglect and fleas prior to coming to rescue. There is a possibility that you will need to keep an eye on that so that I don’t have a flare up again. But right now I am doing great!

Mostly I'm just a sweet little lap dog looking for that happily ever after my foster mom has promised me! If you think you can help with that, fill out an application! I am spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my shots. My adoption fee is $100.
