Veronica needs:

Meet sweet Veronica! She is a 7-year-old, 8 lb, female Chihuahua mix. Veronica is very new to SBRET, and her foster mom is still learning about her adorable personality. Here is what she knows so far:

Veronica has adjusted quickly to her foster home! She immediately found the toy basket, picked her favorites, and started playing! She is excellent at bringing her toy back for engaging games of fetch. 💗  Veronica has also tried to get her foster brother to play a few times but he ignores her. I do think she would like a small dog friend who will play gently with her. If Veronica is not playing, she does like to cuddle and enjoy pets on the sofa.

Veronica likes men and women equally (she hasn’t met any kids yet) and would prefer someone to be home with her at least part of the day. She isn’t impressed with being left alone and can be vocal about it so an apartment is probably not right for her. Otherwise she has been pretty quiet, only barking a little bit to tell me that someone was walking down the street. House training is a work in progress but she is a smart girl and I am sure she will figure it out soon.

Veronica did have a grade four heart murmur detected at her vet visit. Luckily her heart is not enlarged and it does not causing her any problems. Her new owners will need to make sure to monitor for any changes at her yearly vet visits.

She just had her teeth cleaned, is spayed, heartworm negative and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is ready to start off the new year in a new home! Her adoption fee is $175.
