Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.

Clyde needs:

• His next round of puppy shots due 7/29
• No apartment/condo living (I’m not fully vaccinated) 
• Grooming every 6-8 weeks/brushing on a regular basis
• Someone home most of the day
• Active adult (sure-footed) home
• Children need to be at least 12 years of age

My name is Clyde, I’m a 4 pound (as of 7/21/25) 11 week old (as of 7/22/25) male Shih-Tzu mix. I have beautiful fluffy Silver/gray fur which will need to be brushed often and I will require to be groomed on a regular basis-so please expect that expense. Please remember I will be a lifetime commitment (my life that is).

Pups like me require a lot of training, patience and hard work. I would need someone home most of the day to take me outside and continue my housetraining. I’m off to a good start as I have made the grass/potty connection. My foster mom has an indoor play area with my crate (door open), toys, food/water and pee pads which I miss sometimes where I hang out if she is busy around the house or if she needs to run errands. I have been introduced to being in my crate for short periods of time. At night I might wake because I need to go out and potty then back to sleep until morning – it’s a good idea to have my crate in your room so you can hear me. I do well crated in the car to keep me safe.

No one wants to get hurt so- everyone needs to be steady on their feet, children need to gentle and at least 12 years of age because of my size. Next we will be working on getting me use to wearing my collar/tags and harness. Until I’m fully vaccinated you have to follow the rule —No paws on the ground in common areas so no apartment or condo living for me. I do get along with the other dogs in my foster home and if possible I would really enjoy having another small young/playful dog to show me the ropes. Puppies need a lot of exercise so they don’t get bored. 

I will be due for my 3rd round of puppy vaccines on 7/29 and 4th round will be due 3 weeks after that and my rabies vaccine when I am 16 weeks old. My adopter is responsible to make sure that is completed.
