If you have a heart for the seniors, I am your boy. My name is Gizm, and I am an 8-pound, 12-year old Pomeranian. I found myself neglected, homeless, and in need of care when SBRET came to my rescue. My health is pretty good for an old fella. I do take thyroid meds and will need occasional bloodwork to keep my dose current. I had a much needed dental and lost all but two of my teeth. My tongue hangs out, but everyone says I look handsome. I still eat my dry kibble just fine because mom soaks it in a little tasty broth.

I sleep all night in an indoor x-pen and my foster mom opens it during the day so I can come and go as I please. I feel safe and like to nap in my pen throughout the day. I am a good sleeper. My hearing is somewhat limited, but I do seem to hear loud sounds. My vision is also not the best. I misjudge and jump into stuff, but I do see, and I always know where my humans are and want to be near them. I occasionally jump on the furniture, and usually make it. I will, however, fall off furniture and must not be left unattended. My foster mom also has to carry me up and down the stairs. I am doing very well with my housetraining; and with regular outings, have few accidents. I do not signal my humans when I need to go out. I am learning to walk on a leash, and doing much better. I do tend to run back and forth so someone steady on their feet with a good grip is needed to keep me safe. I like other dogs, but they need to be on the older side like me. Car rides are not my favorite. I pant and panic and would just rather not.

I am ready for my forever home, and I am ready to be your good boy! Belly rubs are my favorite thing. I have been neutered, microchipped, had a dental, and I am current on my flea, tick and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $100.
