Linus

Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.

Linus needs:

  • An active adult home or one with kids over 5
  • Someone home most of the day to continue potty training
  • No apartments or shared yards as puppies cannot be where other possibly unvaccinated dogs have been until vaccinations are completed at 16 weeks.

Linus is a little Pug  mix boy weighing about 5 pounds as of May 24 and he was born on March 26.  He is a little guy all dressed up to look like a St Bernard and is a sweet silly boy looking for an active family that he can make laugh with his Rolly Polly antics. Linus was born in the care of an SBRET foster home after his mama was dropped off at a shelter very pregnant. His loving mama Patty  is a  22 lb Pug mix and she took great care of him and his 6 siblings.

Linus is a medium energy pup who loves to play, and is great at entertaining himself with his toys but he will need lots of exercise!! He does not appear to be a Velcro dog, but once his wiggles are out, he does love a good snuggle!

He is doing great with his house training when taken out on a consistent schedule. He sleeps through the night in his indoor play pen with his sister, and is learning how to settle in his crate for day time naps with a chew toy. He is food motivated and has learned very quickly how to sit for treats! Linus’ family will need to continue working on house, crate and leash training, but he is off to an excellent start on all 3! Linus spent his first 8 weeks in a home with 2 dogs (in addition to his mama and siblings) as well as a cat.

Linus is getting neutered and microchipped on May 27,  after which he will be adoptable! Adopters will need to take him in for his last few rounds of puppy shots and rabies at 16 weeks, then he will be all ready to safely go on outdoor adventures with his new family!

His adoption fee is $175.
