Meet Caroline đź’›
Caroline is a 2-year-old female scruffy Terrier mix weighing about 18 pounds—and she is as precious as they come. This sweet girl has a gentle, loving nature and truly thrives on connection with her people. Her favorite place in the world after getting her sillies out is curled up next to you on the couch, soaking up all the cuddles she can get.
Caroline is wonderfully social and gets along beautifully with other animals, showing no signs of aggression. She especially loves having a dog friend her size to play with—whether it’s a game of fetch or just romping around together. She has a nice medium energy level: playful when it’s time for fun, and perfectly content to relax and snuggle afterward. But make no mistake she needs an outlet for her exuberance and energy! Bonus: she’s a quiet companion who rarely barks.
She’s both house trained and crate trained, and she walks nicely on a leash. Caroline is a sensitive soul and may have occasional submissive urination if she feels scared (like with raised voices), so she will do best in a calm, gentle home where she feels safe and secure.
A little about her needs:
Caroline previously had a liver shunt (PSS) that was surgically corrected. At this time, it’s not yet known if she will need to remain on a prescription diet or daily inexpensive medication long-term, but she will require routine veterinary care and consistent heartworm and flea prevention. Her adopter should be prepared for ongoing medical oversight. Caroline also does best with a midday meal and a light little snack before bed as occasionally she will vomit when her tummy gets too empty.
She would do best in a home without small children and would thrive with a securely fenced yard or careful supervision outdoors on a leash and harness. Most importantly, Caroline is looking for a loving, patient home that will give her the affection and reassurance she craves.
If you’re searching for a gentle, affectionate companion who will happily be your playtime friend and your cuddle buddy, Caroline might just be your perfect match. Caroline is spayed and current on vaccines, flea and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $175
