Willow

Adoption Area: East Tennessee

Willow needs:

  • Adult home with someone home most of the day and children 10 years and over
  • No appartments or attached houaing as she has some separation anxiety and will bark if left alone. Having another
  • friendly small dog in the household would also help.
  • Needs regular grooming every 6-8 weeks

Meet Willow, a female Yorkie mix who is about 3 years old and 8.5 pounds. She was found as a stray and was in a shelter before coming into rescue. She settled into her foster home quickly and got along well with the other small dogs and the cats in the household.

Willow is very loving and wants nothing more than to be with her humans, following wherever you go. Being in your lap and getting belly rubs is her idea of heaven. She is playful, and loves to play with dog toys, tossing them in the air and bringing them to you for a game of tug-of-war. She is doing well with her house training and does best if taken out every 2-3 hours.

A secure fenced in yard would be ideal, but Willow walks well on a harness and leash so it is not a necessity. She sleeps quietly all night in a kennel in her foster parents’ bedroom, but softly whines as it gets light outside to let you know that she is ready to get out to start her day. Willow is a good car rider and will usually sleep during the ride.

This sweet girl is ready for her forever home. She had a good check up at the vet and the only thing found to take note of is that she has grade 2 luxating patellas (slipping kneecaps). She is heartworm negative, has been spayed, microchipped and had a dental. She is current on her vaccines and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $175.
