Puppies less than 16 weeks old cannot be placed in apartment complexes as they cannot go out in communal areas until about 10 days after their last vaccine at 16 weeks.
Dani needs:
- Someone home during the day to continue my potty training;
- A home where everyone is steady on their feet;
- Gentle children over the age of eight;
- A small indoor play pen to keep me safe;
- A friendly little dog to keep me company and show me the ropes
Hi everyone, I’m Dani! So nice to meet all of you! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 10-week-old 3.4lb. terrier mix little girl. Yep, I’m a girl. I kind of have a boy’s name but I’m named after that cute little girl in Hocus Pocus so if you’ve seen that movie you know what I’m talking about! It’s not a scary movie, and I’m not scary at all, but my story is. My siblings and I wandered out of the woods onto a construction site where a nice man picked us up and got us to safety. We were abandoned in the woods, that is scary! But we survived and as you can see I am an adorable, gorgeous little thing if I do say so myself. No health issues either! I’m just really very small.
Not only am I adorable, I’m a very smart little puppy. I am sleeping all night in a crate by my foster mom’s bed, eating dry food, and really doing well with my potty training. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a puppy, and I still have accidents; but my foster mom takes me out many times during the day. I’ve started going to the back door when I need to go potty. Smart right? I think what really helped me is that I have the biggest crush on the little boy dogs in my foster home. And they treat me like their annoying little sister because I follow them everywhere. They potty outside so I potty outside. They take a nap, I take a nap, they dig through the toy box, I dig through the toy box. They bark at leaves, well you get the picture. I do not like being alone and the times my foster brothers have not been home I cried and cried. I missed them very much so I would love a home with a friendly little dog to keep me company. Somebody to show me the ropes at the new place and to help me settle in and feel safe. I’m a very playful little dog and need a playmate. Or two!
Due to my size, I am going to need a home where everyone is steady and sure-footed and able to quick step around me. Because I’m tiny and I will run in front of you and get right between your feet so you have to be careful and quick when I’m running around. When you can’t watch me, I’m going to need a little playpen where you can just pick me up and put me in it so you can cook or bring in groceries or whatever you’re doing, but I need a safe place when you’re gone or can’t watch me. Nothing fancy, just a little plastic playpen. And, I plan on living a very long time so I need somebody who can hang with me for the long run. Since I’m so small, I’m looking for a home without small children. I have very sharp puppy teeth and I think young children would not do well with my playful biting. It’s playful but it still hurts! And, that would make me so sad if I hurt somebody so please only children over the age of eight who are gentle and thoughtful around a small puppy. Since I can’t go for walks yet I don’t know about the harness and leash. That will be something we’ll have to work on together after I’m fully vaccinated.
Phew, sounds like a lot but it takes some work to raise a puppy into a nice little dog. But I am so worth it. I love snuggles, and kisses, and chewing on that little bottom part of your ear that looks like a toy to me! Also, can you imagine all the cute Halloween costumes you could put me in!!! The photo ops are endless, and I am very photogenic.
If you’ve read all this and think I would be a good fit for your home, go to sbret.com and fill out an application. I will be spayed and microchipped on October 12th and will be ready for an approved home visit a few days after that so you’ll have plenty of time to go get that Halloween costume for me I know you’re already thinking about! Boo!
My adoption fee is $175.
