Alba

Before you fall in love with my adorable face, please remember that I will have some specific needs in my forever home. I need a secure fenced yard, someone with lots of patience and time during the day to help me with my housetraining and socialization, an adult dog-experienced home. Thank you for reading!

Alba needs:

  • Alba needs an adult home with experience working with puppy mill dogs and patience to give her a wonderful life.
  • A secure fenced yard since in the beginning she could be a flight risk if scared
  • Regular professional grooming

Alba is a 10-12 year old, 12 pound little female Yorkie mix who embodies the meaning of hope. She has had a challenging life, having been rescued from a puppy mill. Despite her timid nature with strangers, Alba’s sweet personality shines through once she gets to know you. She loves to run around her fenced-in backyard and has learned to come when called.

While she may bark at strangers in the yard, Alba is friendly with other dogs that approach the fence. She gets along well with the other dog in the house. Her favorite things are meal time and treats—she gets incredibly excited when food is involved. Her favorite treat is Cheerios. Since I’ve had her, Alba has come out of her shell and loves to lay next to me and get pets.

Alba has learned to walk on a leash and gets excited when I return home or when she sees me in the morning. She’s done great with her potty training as long as she goes out on a regular schedule. She has started to go back and forth to the door when she needs to go outside, but she will still need to be reminded. She also uses potty pads if you’re gone.

Alba sleeps in her crate at night and feels more comfortable in a room with her crate when I’m away. She rides well in a car but does gets car sick.

Alba has undergone spaying, hernia repair, and a dental. She had multiple teeth missing and had 5 more extracted. She only has about 6 teeth left, but that doesn’t stop her from eating. The only medication she is on is Dasuquinn chews  for her arthritis  which you would never know she has because she is very active. She’s tested negative for heartworms. She is  microchipped and all her vaccines are up to date and her preventatives.

Please consider giving this little girl a chance. She just wants to  please and has so much love to give. She will come with an AirTag (tracker) which has a fee of $25 which she should wear at all times. Her adoption fee is $125 ($100 adoption fee and $25 for her AirTag).
