Meet Sweet Little Angel! ❤️

Angel is looking for a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy the simple pleasures of life and be someone’s special little companion.

This precious 14-year-old, 6-pound female Pomeranian mix found herself unwanted at an area shelter, and it’s hard to imagine how anyone could let this lovely little girl go. Angel is a gentle soul who doesn’t ask for much. She simply wants to be near her people, enjoy a little attention, and have a cozy spot to curl up when life around her gets busy.

Angel is happiest in a calm environment. She enjoys being around older, easygoing little dogs but would not be comfortable with rambunctious or overly playful companions. She can be timid, especially around loud noises and sudden movements, so a quieter adult home or one with children over 12 would be best. She would also love someone who is home most of the day to keep her company.

Once she feels comfortable, Angel has a sweet way of letting you know when she’d like some attention. She may gently paw at you for a little affection, and if you toss a toy her way, you’ll see a more playful side of this little girl! She does have an occasional plaintive little howl when something worries her, which is just part of her endearing personality.

Angel is doing well with her housetraining when given regular opportunities to go outside, generally every 2–3 hours. She will also use a pee pad if needed and is happy to walk on a leash for her potty breaks. She can manage a few steps but is uneasy with stairs, so a home without access to long flights of stairs would be best. She may also be a little hard of hearing.

One important part of caring for Angel is keeping her beautiful, fluffy coat in good condition. She has an especially soft, downy undercoat that can mat easily, so she will need weekly brushing at home along with regular professional grooming.

Angel’s senior bloodwork looked good. She recently had a much-needed dental and, because her teeth had not been cared for before coming into rescue, she did lose quite a few. Despite that, she is eating kibble just fine.

Angel has been an absolute joy to foster. She is a sweet, gentle little companion who deserves to spend her golden years feeling safe, loved, and cherished. If you have a soft spot for the little seniors, Angel might just be the perfect girl to steal your heart!

Angel is spayed, microchipped, has had a dental and senior blood panel, and is current on her vaccinations and preventatives.
