My name is Carly. I am 4 1/2 months old, 13 pound, female Dachshund mix—maybe mixed with some Yorkie? My fur is a sable/brown color and I have the cutest fluffy ears. I am very busy and have a lot of energy. I need an active home; and if you have children, they need to be gentle and at least 5 years of age. I do well with the other dogs in my foster home, but I don’t think cats would like me much because of my playful energy. My foster mom thinks I would do best with another playful dog(s) living in my forever home and a secure fenced yard to burn off some of my puppy energy and help with my housetraining.
When my foster mom is busy I hang out in an indoor gated area and she has me on a strict potty schedule so I don’t have an accident in the house which is working very well. I sleep quietly in my crate all night; then come morning, I’m ready to start the day. I do walk well on a leash/harness, but I like to potty in my own yard when we get back from a walk. I don’t do well riding in the car so I would need to be fed several hours before you plan on taking me in the car. I haven’t ridden in a car much- hopefully, it’s something I will get use to.
